The 2022 LARS Hamfest will be held on Saturday June 11, 2022 at the Luce-West Mackinac County Fairgrounds located at 11555 N County Road 399, Newberry, MI from 9:00AM to 12:00PM local time.  We will also have a license testing session at 2:00PM local time on the same day.  The fairgrounds are located right across the road from the Luce County Airport on County Road 399.  Tower Electronics from Green Bay, WI will be here again this year.  If you aren't familiar with them, check out their website at www.pl-259.com.  They will pretty much have everything you see on their website on hand.  And with Field Day is fast approaching, what better way to stock up on supplies to ensure that your Field Day will be a success.  Overnight parking on Friday June 10 will be permitted at the fairgrounds for a donation to the Luce-West Mackinac County Fairgrounds.  There will also be a cookout at the fairgrounds on Friday June 10 at 6:00PM with hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, chips and pop provided by LARS that is open to the public.  On Saturday morning, the Luce-West Mackinac County Fair Board will operate their cook shack to supply food and refreshments.  The cook shack is conveniently located right next to the building that the hamfest is held in.  New to our hamfest this year is a demonstration about go-kits.  Bring your go-kit and share your ideas with others.
