Members of LARS are very active with community events, including sled dog races, cross country races, fun runs, off road car races and even the Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day.  These events not only provide LARS members the opportunity to help with the communications for these  various events, but it also gives LARS members valuable experience to be ready to help with any civic communication need.

Luce Amateur Radio Services Hamfest - June 6, 2026 at the Luce/West Mackinac County Fairgrounds.

Two Hearted Trail Run - June 20, 2026.  50K at 7:00am, marathon at 7:30am and half marathon at 8:00am, all located in northern Luce County.  Go to www.aravaiparunning.com for more information.
